When I heard that the leader of the Council on American-Islamic Relations demanded Donald Trump apologize for having a protesting Muslim woman ejected from the candidate’s rally in South Carolina, first I laughed.
Then I realized Donald Trump should be demanding that CAIR and its executive director, Nihad Awad, apologize to America.
Awad claimed on Saudi TV in 2013 that Muslims discovered America:”There are historical accounts according to which the Muslims preceded Columbus, who is said to have discovered the U.S.,” claimed Awad. “Some documents and accounts indicate that Muslim seafarers were the first to reach the U.S., [so] the bottom line is that Islam played a part in the establishment and development of the U.S.”
CAIR leaders told Muslims they are in America not to assimilate but to help assert Islam’s rule over the country. In 1998, Omar Ahmad told the gathering of Muslims: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant,” and, “The Quran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”Omar Ahmad’s statement was reported by the Fremont Argus newspaper in California in 1998. Both the reporter and editor stood by their story despite repeated denials by Ahmad.
CAIR blamed “right-wing extremist” for the fatal attack in Benghazi.CAIR tweeted this message to explain the Benghazi attack: “Meet The Right-Wing Extremist Behind the Anti-Muslim Film That Sparked Deadly Riots.” The message included a link to a blog post by anti-Zionist activist Max Blumenthal, son of Hillary Clinton pal Sidney Blumenthal, which contended “the rioting was provoked by an obscure, low-budget anti-Muslim film called ‘The Innocence of Muslims.'”
I could go on, but isn’t this enough?
Isn’t it about time somebody with guts stood up to this charade?
How about calling a jihadist a jihadist for once?
I think Trump’s just the guy to do it.
Don’t back down, Donald. Turn the tables on these monsters posing as “civil rights activists.”
